September Full Moon aka Barley Moon

Sept. 8th, is the Full Moon, also known as the "Harvest Moon” or the Full Corn Moon” and even called the "Barley Moon” as this is the time to harvest corn & barley. Most of us won’t be out harvesting corn or barley anymore in the physical sense; however we can harvest symbolically. If you have had plans and dreams that have been put into fruition, working with the full moon energies will help you reap those wonderful ideas and manifestations. This is a great time to ask for your raise, ask for special requests from a boss or coworkers, in other words, if you have something to request of another person, well, the energies around this special full moon, give or take a few days, are the perfect time to do this. So ask away and see yourself happy with their response!
I have a request for you. I am putting together a special eblast and would love to include stories from you. Our tribe would love to hear some of the exciting things that you have manifested over the past few weeks. No manifestation is too small! Everything counts. You can remain anonymous if you wish and just share your story. Only, this harvest moon, let's share some of the benefits and blessings we have reaped over the year. I would love to hear from you and I know that others would, too.
Please remember that the Dream Interpretation Intro to the Workshop will begin on the Autumnal Equinox on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014.The call starts at 5 pm pst. 8 pm est. The call in number is  1-605 562 0020 and the access code: 570-056-934.
Have a fabulous week and may you enjoy the precious gifts from this full moon!

SIMPLE STEPS TO DEVELOP YOUR & YOUR CHILD’S INTUITION

Developing Intuitive Abilities:
Here are some simple steps to follow that will provide a roadmap to train you and your child to access and develop his/her intuitive abilities:

Step One: Create The Attitude of Belief and Expectancy

Firstly, it helps to know that children are naturally in the alpha or theta brainwave state or even a heavily mixed combination of both. Research has shown that human beings are more receptive to information delivered on a subconscious level in alpha and theta and with children having the natural propensity to spend most of their time in these two states your child can expect to get results.

Step Two: Get into Action

Sit criss-cross applesauce with  fingers in the Zoot position. Criss-cross applesauce is an endearing name for the traditional “Easy Yoga Pose” or “Sukhasana Pose”. "Zoot" position for fingers is when the tips of the thumb, index and middle finger touch each other and then hands rest gently on the  knees.

If available, have a set of of blinders and place it over the eyes. Now, it is your opportunity to safely guide your child  through a meditation practice. I like to teach breathing and how to run energy through your body.

At this point, you can have meditative music in the background. Make sure that your music is in alignment with the alpha or theta brain frequency.

Here’s a simple breathing technique:  Have the children breathe in deeply and exhale. During the exhalation , focus on being grateful (make sure they have an age appropriate definition for the word that is not attached to any judgements or morality). During the inhalation I have them focus on accepting the breath of life and all the wonderful things about themselves and others. I have them accept all the love they can hold on the inhalation.

After a few deep breaths it is time to run the energy through their bodies. This is a guided exercise. Tell the child to see the white light energy run up his/her left leg, traveling up through the body to the arms, the fingers, and back up to the shoulders, around and in the head, traveling down on the right side through the shoulders, the arms, the fingers and back again down the hips, legs and feet.
You can have them do the energy run at least three times. The focus here is on breathing, being in alpha or theta, and running energy throughout their body.

Step three :  The Process

One exercise I enjoy is having the children know they are going on a journey in their minds.

It is best to begin with a simple exercise that will guarantee success. Have your child sit yoga style, with his/her fingers in the zoot position with blinders covering their eyes. Do the breathing exercise described above and have your child focus on his / her breathing and nothing else. Now, releasing all expectations of a desired outcome, tell you child that you are thinking of a color. Make it simple. Have the child know that you will be thinking of one of three colors; red, black or blue. Tell your child to see the color that you are thinking of in his/ her "mind's eye".  Have them take off their blinders and mark the color they saw on a sheet of paper.

Two things are crucial here. You, the sender, must also be focusing solely on the color you are sending and you must be able to clearly see this color in YOUR mind's eye. Your mind must be clear of all distracting thoughts and your focus is only on the color you are "sending". Your child , the receiver , needs to know that a color will "pop" into his/her mind immediately. It is most always the first color that will appear. Our left brain immediately has something to say about invalidating our first choice. Go with your first choice. Your child will also learn to strengthen and trust his/her intuition through this process.

Developing the Process

It is advisable to use simple items for the viewer to send. Colors are best for the younger children whom I will call " receivers". Have children remove their blinders long enough to choose a color marker they "saw" in their mind's eye and mark the paper immediately.

It has been my personal experience to save sharing the results until the activity is completed. It becomes very easy for a young child to want to "get it right". This is another area of concern that becomes important, namely interference from the identity.
For the most part, if the sender keeps the activity simple and direct with avoidance of rewarding correct answers, intuition and psychic abilities will develop at an accelerated pace.

Also worth looking into and developing are meditation practices for guided and creative visualization . There are numerous available. For best results a short practice daily or a minimum of 4 to 5 times a week is optimal.

As your child develops his/her ability you can add shapes, such as squares, circles, triangles, etc. ( keeping it as simple as possible for the first few months) numbers, and a deck of playing cards, for the older child. After a few months of dedicated practice, you can move on to sending and receiving scenes and objects.

The idea is to keep these activities varied, fun and simple. As your child develops his/her intuition, there is a rich reward and an access to realms of possibility still unavailable to most of us.

“Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes” Carl Jung

In 2010, a group of dedicated parents , my dear colleague, Cody Rothwell and myself embarked on a comprehensive venture to create a private school for young children ; a school unlike any other public or private school in existence today.  Our school was  situated on a park like, rural 10 acre property, where children were safe to  explore and create.  The property boasted,  old growth , douglas fir trees,  an orchard,  a garden , a “fairy forest”,  an outdoor stage and play area.  The newest building was heated by geothermal energy and our long-range vision included solar panels for alternative energy sources.  The principles  of our little school, spoke directly to our relationship to nature and to the world .  In the same way we prepared the soil to make it fertile to plant a seed, our philosophy and curriculum prepared the child’s mind for knowledge .  The core  components of our educational philosophy included  a Mindfulness Curriculum  which incorporated brain physiology, brain anatomy, neuroscience,  along with natural awareness ( compassion, empathy, responsibility, reflection, communication, perception and expression) . We were developing lateral thinking skills and concentration with attention to quieting the mind, enhancing focus and concentration.
Our program focused on self exploration. The program allowed the participants to acquire the ability to be present in the classroom and in their lives. It provided them with the tools to actively listen with an open mind,  to analyze and integrate what had been learned with  openness, self awareness and insight. Our mindfulness program provided a platform for children to gain a sharpening of insight and appreciation of the world’s diversity and richness.
We believe from the young person’s understanding of self comes the ability to appreciate the value of another’s experiences.

Our Mindfulness program served as the natural bridge to the world . Five days a week at approximately 9:30 am , a group of 12 young children would sit in a semicircle on a blue carpet in our classroom.  We had just reviewed the days of the week and the weather.  The children would then sit criss-cross applesauce, with their tiny fingers in the "Zoot" position ( what I called when we connected the first three fingers of both hands)  and silently and eagerly wait for me to begin some extraordinary  mental exercises  Each child had a pair of black blinders ( the kind you'd get on an overnight airline flight) which were placed over their eyes.  The journey inward  was about to begin.  Over the past few months they had been practicing creative visualization,  telepathy, telekinesis, out of body and remote viewing.  The children also learned yoga breathing  , intuitive heart work and  how to quiet  and still their minds.

Although our little school needed to shut it’s doors in the summer of 2011, the experiences and teachings the children learned are still a vital  part of who they are and who they have become.  The photo above was taken just recently. Here, a young boy, who was only 4 in  2011,  is  sitting in a treehouse at Whistler, Canada, with his fingers in the “ zoot “ position , and contemplating ( as he related to  his mom) .

I am grateful this family shared this photo with me and gave me permission to use it.
I am also grateful to the group of loving parents, and my colleague , for having created this unique school that brought and gave so much love to the  children and their families in our community.

For many of us, 2013 was a year of beginnings and endings. It has been said that 2013 was the year of the "higher frequencies" ; all situations not vibrating for the highest good somehow appeared to fall away. Relationships, friendships, employment, even living circumstances, seemed to undergo tremendous changes during this past year. Now with 2013 nearly behind us, we are looking at the great tidings and happy events 2014 will bestow upon us.
2014 promises to be a year of challenge and change. You will see and experience , whether you believe in astrology or not, the heaviness of Saturn, the taskmaster, in your life. If you've been out of integrity in areas of your life, these will come to the light for you to deal with. With Saturn in Scorpio, we will all find the courage and the personal power to set boundaries and to trek on with perseverance and diligence, knowing that our dreams are literally only a few feet away. You may recall the story from Napoleon Hill's Think & Grow Rich, Chapter 1, where a gold miner sells his mine to a "junk man" who then brings in professionals and strikes an amazing fortune literally three feet from where his predecessor stopped. In short, this year will bring challenges to all of us, especially on the work front, and from government agencies. It is up to us to persevere, be diligent and press on; not stopping three feet short of our successes.
Many of you know me as an educator and psychic. I have been providing personal intuitive/psychic readings for the past 20 years. What you may not know; I am also skilled in astrology, and for 2014 I have put together an opportunity for you to find out what's in store for you by combining your astrological information for the new year with your personal psychic reading. Imagine the fun discovering what may lie ahead for you spiritually, professionally and socially!
On the educational front, I recently had the opportunity to speak with 60 middle school children. I asked them, "If you could have one superpower, which would it be?" The overwhelming response was, "Telepathy / psychic ability". This did not surprise me. If anything, it inspired me to begin teaching these skills to young children and teens again. I have found when we are able to combine telepathy and psychic abilities, with mindfulness and responsibility, many of the sociological ills observable in classroom situations tend to disappear, providing us with new conversations of compassion and responsibility. When we demonstrate the qualities of compassion, responsibility and intuitive awareness, we ultimately raise our emotional intelligence. The latest research in an article from Psychological Science, (Yip and Cote; 2013) indicates that higher levels of emotional intelligence dramatically improve decision making.
Summing it all up, developing superpower skills will only enhance your life in unimaginable ways. For those of you curious enough to begin, I suggest a basic introduction to developing your intuitive abilities.
For January of 2014 I have put together a few packages:
  1. Intuitive Development Sessions via skype, telephone or online tutorial. Session: 1 hour for $60.00
Description: Learn to tap into your own intuition. Practice distinguishing which feelings, voices and emotions constitute your intuition.
  2. Psychic Reading
    Session: 1 hour for $80.00 ½ hour: $40.00
  3. Astrological Report for 2014
Session: Your personal year for 2014 with major progressions based on your natal chart: $100.00
  4. Astrological Report for 2014 with Psychic Reading
Sessions limited to 1 hour: $150.00
I look forward to serving you and feel confident that together we can chart out the most successful course of actions for your personal 2014!
Much love and many blessings!

12/21/2012 Are YOU ready?

Are YOU ready?

For those of us old enough to remember the excitement and fear connected to Y2K, you now have  another opportunity for some adrenaline producing thoughts. 12/21/2012 will come , and it will pass and nothing unusual will happen to our planet. Of course, individuals will experience bliss, joy, crisis, life and death, just as they would , any other day of the year. I believe that 2013 will be an amazing year for many people. It will be the year really feeling “ the Age of Aquarius” .
Remarkable progress will be made in many areas of life and conversations will alter. One of my personal predictions is that 2013 will herald a new age and a new dawn. For many it will be provide unique and unexpected opportunities of abundance, success , joy and bliss. For others, it will be a year of struggles and hardships. Where you are in the spectrum will be dictated by the energetic vibrations of your thoughts and your body. We know that we are energy beings and vibrate at particular frequencies.
In order to vibrate at the frequency of human spirit , it will be important to have your basic survival needs taken care of. If you are always worried about surviving, it becomes impossible to vibrate at a higher frequency. One way to take care of basic survival needs is to be prepared.
Have necessary supplies on hand. One can never predict  “ the black swan” .  It is always wise to be prepared for any unexpected disaster. Having a  supply of food and water , flashlights, blankets, ( alternative sources for heating) and extra gas ( if you have the space) will put your mind at ease and it’s a smart thing to have at all times.  I remember when I was a little girl, my dad used to store jars and jars of jam. When I asked him why, he replied, “ Anything and everything tastes good with jelly”. I  always keep a few jars of jam in my pantry to this day just in case of earthquakes or other unexpected disasters because “ anything and everything tastes better with jelly”.

Trust & Courage

Trust & Courage

I remember when my youngest son was about 9 years old. At that time we lived in an affluent community on Long Island, New York. Each day I would watch my son leave the house gingerly and walk to school. We were within walking distance and I trusted my son, the community and the universe to make sure that he would arrive and come home safely each day.  I have learned as a parent that there are certain things we have control over with our children and there are things that are way beyond our control. I learned that although I could see this little person walk off to school, I could not control his thoughts, or what happened to him during the school day or even on the walk to and from school.  There were certain things that I could control and those I worked on quite diligently. I learned that I could control the quality of our conversations at home, the foods we ate in our home, and that I could teach and model an attitude of gratitude, caring, generosity, compassion, love, trust and courage. These were things that were within my control.
I taught him to trust himself. I taught him to trust his intuition and his gut. I taught him to listen to that feeling that said, “ this isn’t right” or  “ this isn’t for me”. I taught him that it takes courage to follow your intuition as it often is contrary to the herd or group mentality and can  leave you alone and questioning whether or not, trusting your intuition was the “ right action” to take. In hindsight, we see that it always is.
I’ve developed a program for children and their parents that teach them how to trust and develop their intuition. The program is fun and easy and I am now offering it on an individual basis to those who are interested in learning more about the powerful and healthy benefits of learning to trust and rely on your intuition.

I later began to teach him to “ trust “ certain foods to be beneficial  to his development. One particular food that we have trusted for the past 9 years has been an antioxidant, rich blend of natural whole fruit purees. This product took 12 years of scientific development. Dr. Linus Pauling, two time nobel prize winner, contributed his expertise in anti-oxidant research on this product , until his death in 1994, and in 2003, the first bottle of ViaViente became available to the public.
ViaViente takes the seeds, skin, and juice of 13 whole foods and creates a uniquely delicious puree . We know that  seeds and skins have the highest concentration of Anti-Oxidants.  This product also contains naturally chelated mineral water from Vilcabamba , in Ecudor ( please see the link and story of the remarkable town and mineral water of Vilcabamba ( http://viavientemedia.com/articles/vilcabamba-book/) . One ounce of ViaViente is equal to 5 servings of fruits and vegetables, according to the Food and Drug Administration.  According to Teri Tomlinson , a naturopathic doctor with over 27 years of experience, who is also a Master Herbalist and a Certified Natural Health Professional out of Orlando, Florida, “ Dr. Mark Pedersen, head formulator of ViaViente, is recognized over the past 17 years in his quest to develop one tonic that anyone could take regardless of age, health  concerns or medication, that would impact the entire body. ViaViente contains the skins , seeds, pulp and everything in between of 11 whole fruits, 2 roots and the purest mineral water in the world containing the 13 essential minerals that fire up your energy superhighway. It is cold processed with living enzymes and no preservatives!”
During my many years in the classroom, there were times that I would bring Via in and share it with the children, rather than have sugar drinks available for them.  The children literally “craved” the nutritionally sound puree and always wanted more.  I came across a fabulous article that makes a connection between drinking ViaViente and ADD and ADHD , by Dr. Allen Buresz. The article can be read on my website in the links section.  If you have further interest in learning about this remarkable product, that was written up in Woman’s Day as “ a miracle cure”, please go to: www.vital2u.viaviente.com  . Once again, thank you for your trust.

With all the products and information available to us, it becomes important to learn to discern the many voices within us. How are we going to be able to distinguish the voices in our head from the voice in our heart?
I’ve come to learn that any voice that feels heavy or makes me feel sad, unhappy, bad or causes me indecision is the voice of untruth and is not real! The voices of happiness and lightness are the voices that support me in loving decisions and choices necessary for my journey of growth. We call this voice Intuition.
The voice of intuition speaks to us through another part of our body and not through our head. It speaks to us through a sensation that is in our chest area (solar plexus). The voice of intuition is not really a voice. It is a feeling, a sensation, and it takes place in the chest area of your body. Intuition is the body’s natural way of protecting you from people, situations, and experiences that will not benefit you and may harm you.
When we begin to really learn to hone into that feeling, that sensation and begin to trust it and value what it teaches us, our decisions and choices will be beneficial ones and we will soon learn to begin to trust ourselves, where by creating an internal knowingness that fosters genuine self esteem. It comes from within, not from without. We will have the strength of inner knowingness to call upon. Using that inner wisdom as our guide, we will never make choices that will hurt us or deter us from what is truly important to us.
We are born with this ability to listen to our inner workings. We have been taught to ignore it, to discredit it, and yet, it is one of our most important internal mechanisms for self preservation and survival.
Next time you are faced with a choice that you have to make, listen to your heart. It will guide you. Do not let your head and your thoughts dissuade you from the knowingness that will ultimately be your protector. Ignoring this important sensation will only lead you to some space in your future, when you will look back at that time in your life, or that choice that you made and say “I knew it.” “I knew I shouldn’t have done that” or perhaps you will remember that day that you acted based on that feeling and sensation in your chest and your response will be, “I knew it. I knew it was the right thing to do that day!”
Let’s begin right now with a practice of tapping into your heart and learning to “hear” the important messages that your heart will give you. This is the beginning of learning how to tap into, access, trust and develop your intuition. As you learn to trust this natural sense, your courage will flourish, your choices in life will be the best ones for you, and as other people remark on your life and call you lucky, you will know that it wasn’t luck that brought you to the “right place”… it was your heart, and your courage to follow and trust YOUR intuition.
